Holly Howe is family owned and run. We bought the cottage in 1994 and chose it for its convenient location and lovely views. We visit the cottage each year ourselves but we've always made it available for holiday lets. We let directly to guests rather than using an agent or letting platform, this keep overheads down and enables us to offer good value.
The cottage is on three floors plus cellar and can sleep up to 6 people. There are three bedrooms, two with kingsize beds and one with two singles. We have a private parking space for one car.
The garden at the back is on a steep slope (topographically it's the bottom of Wansfell Pike) but there is a terrace and summer house that provide level platforms.
From the front of the cottage you can look out over Ambleside to Loughrigg. On a clear day it is possible to pick out The Old Man of Coniston, Wetherlam, Pavey Ark and Sergeant Man. From the garden you can look north to the Fairfield Horseshoe.
